How to Order Food Without Speaking Chinese

  1. Point at pictures on the menu (most restaurants have photo menus)
  2. Use Google Translate camera to scan the menu in real-time
  3. Show the staff a photo of the dish you want from a review site
  4. Learn "this one" (zhe ge / 这个) and point — it works everywhere
  5. At street food stalls, just point and hold up fingers for quantity
