Famous natural hot springs located just outside Nanjing, offering relaxation and wellness in a scenic setting.

About Tangshan Hot Springs
Tangshan Hot Springs are among the most famous natural hot springs in China, located about 30 kilometers east of Nanjing's city center. The springs have been renowned for over 1,500 years and were historically favored by emperors and nobility for their therapeutic properties.
The hot spring water emerges from deep underground at temperatures between 50-65°C (122-149°F) and is rich in minerals including sulfur, calcium, and magnesium. Traditional Chinese medicine believes these waters can treat various ailments including skin conditions, arthritis, and fatigue.
Today, Tangshan has developed into a comprehensive hot spring resort area with numerous hotels, spas, and wellness centers. Facilities range from public baths to luxury private villas with personal hot spring pools. Many resorts combine hot spring bathing with traditional Chinese massage, acupuncture, and herbal treatments.
The surrounding area is also scenic, with rolling hills, tea plantations, and fresh air providing a refreshing escape from the city. Some resorts offer hiking trails, fishing lakes, and organic farms where guests can pick their own vegetables.
Tangshan is particularly popular in winter when soaking in the steaming outdoor pools while surrounded by cold air creates a magical experience. However, the springs are enjoyable year-round.
